This dish is very common in Turkey. My mom was cooking all the time so I learned from her.
It is very easy to make and very light dish. When I was cooking I forgot to put rice in it this time but it is better with rice. Please don't forget to put it. By the way, my mom never made it spicy but Jeremy love spicy so I added red pepper paste.
Ingredients
2 lbs spinach washed and drained
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb ground turkey
2 tablespoon rice
2 onion chopped
1 teaspoon tomatoes paste
1 teaspoon red pepper paste ( optional )
salt and pepper
Sauce
1/2 cup plain fat free yogurt
1 garlic clove minced
Salt
Preparation Method
Saute the onion with olive oil in a large pan.
Then add the ground turkey cook it until done.
Add the tomatoes paste and red pepper paste stir well.
Add the spinach close the pan lid wait until spinach wilted.
and than add rice, salt and pepper cook until rice cook for about 20 minutes.
Serve spinach with yogurt sauce.
Why just two tablespoons of rice? Just to thicken?
ReplyDeleteLooks good just the way you present it here.
Yes, I think so. I always think that better with little rice.

I recently make a turkey meatball recipe that used Amy’s chunky tomato bisque for the sauce and I put it over spaghetti squash, you could also make the recipe using lot’s of different farmers market veggies. Techlazy.com Crazyask.com Howmate.com
