Hummus

We had a dinner party at my in-laws house in Florida last Saturday, February 12th. We invited my brother and Jeremy's uncle and his wife. Of course, I did the cooking:) I cooked Turkish lamb stew, Spinach borek, guacamole, coban salatasi ( I put crambled feta cheese top of the coban salad this time ), Turkish style rice and hummus.   I was very excited about the dinner party so I forgot to take hummus picture. I will post the picture whenever I make the hummus again. By the way, I got the hummus recipe from cook book called Cooking Light.

Ingredients
2 (15 ounce) cans chick peas
(garbanzo beans), undrained
3 small garlic cloves
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon tahini
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
3 tbsp water ( I used  3 tbsp olive oil instead of water )

Preparation Method
Drain chickpeas, reserving 1/4 cup liquid, and set aside
Drop garlic through food chute with food processor on: process 10 seconds or until minced. Add chickpeas, reserved 1/4 cup liquid, tahini, lemon juice and water or olive oil; process 3 minutes or until smooth.
spoon tahini mixture into a serving bowl and serve with pita triangles or raw vegetables.
