Drop Scones

This recipe is from cookbook Low Fat Low Cholesterol by Anne Sheasby. I was getting ready to go to work yesterday morning I just wanted to make something for breakfast. I chose this recipe. It was great chose because it was very easy to make it. It was moist and great taste. I used non stick griddle and didn't put oil on the surface. I eat them with maple syrup. Okay, here is the recipe.
Ingredients
2 cups self rising flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 egg beaten
1 1/4 cups skim milk
oil
Preparation Method
Preheat a griddle, heavy frying pan. Put the flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Stir in the sugar and make a well in the center.
Add the egg and half the milk, then gradually incorporate the  surrounding flour to make a smooth batter. Beat in the remaining milk.
Lightly oil the griddle or pan.  Drop tbsp of the batter onto the surface, leaving them until they bubble and the bubbles begin to burst.
Turn the drop scones over with a spatula and cook until the underside is golden brown. Keep the cooked drop scones warm and moist by wrapping them in a clean napkin while cooking successive batches.
