We are enjoying long 4th of July weekend. We just came back from the swimming pool and eat stir fried vegetables with tofu. I made it last night. I thought that we need dessert and I made this Turkish dessert. It is very easy recipe. Here it is,
Ingredients
125g of butter
1 1/2 cups of medium size semolina
1 tbsp of pine nuts
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp sugar
1 cup of milk
1 cup of water
Preparation Method
Melt butter in a pot. Add in semolina and fry on a low heat until it turns light pink.
Add in pine nuts and stir occasionally until they turn pink. Then add in water and milk, and stir.
Let simmer on a low heat until the water evaporates.
Add 3 tbsp sugar, stir and cover. Cook on a very low heat 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let steep longer until ready to serve.
Add in sugar stir and cover.
