Cig Pastry from Turkey/ Eskisehir

I grow up eating cig pastry. It is very common dish in Turkey. I don't make it very often because little bit heavy for us. When I was young I eat everything but I have to be careful what I eat now.  This recipe from cook book called Turkish Table by Gonul Candas

INGREDIENTS

1 cup of water
1/2 a cup of milk
2 tablespoons of oil
2 teaspoons of salt
flour (as needed)
1 1/2 cups of oil (For frying)

for ground beef filling

250 f of ground beef
2 onions
1/2 a bunch of parsley
salt
black pepper


DIRECTIONS

1- mix ground beef with diced onions,parsley  salt and black pepper
2- pour milk water oil and salt into a pot and mix together add in flour until the dough is soft knead,cover and let rest.
3-  divide dough into egg sized pieces(divide the meat filling into the same amount of portions) roll out the dough until it is 2-3 mm thick put the meat filling onto half of the dough spread,and then cover with the other half of the dough pressing the edges together.
4-  heat oil in a small pot and fry the dough.remove onto paper towels
5- to keep the borek soft place it in a pot and cover until serving.
